Oil Prices Surge to Two-Year High Amid Middle East Conflict
Oil prices have risen to a two-year high after Qatar said that all oil and gas producers in the Gulf region could stop producing oil and gas in the near future due to the Middle East conflict. Oil has risen to a high of $93 a barrel, and the conflict could lead to a rise in oil prices to as high as $150 a barrel if the war continues. Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has slowed, and this has caused a further problem, and analysts say that a serious energy and economic crisis could emerge if the conflict continues.
